The website is designed to be a research platform and an archive related to Did You Kiss the Dead Body?, an ongoing interdisciplinary project. Featured on the website are  images, new writings, and a set of interviews conducted with lawyers at the ACLU while I was Artist-In-Residence last fall. An experimental residency, it was structured around a set of conversations about torture, race, empathy, trauma, truth and justice.

 

While September 11, 2001 marked a climate of growing  intolerance and hostility, the xenophobic roots of American life run far deeper. The  writings combine essay, collage and autobiography to respond to the Torture FOIA,  immigration, and racism in the U.S.
